Quarantine and distance learning

As the breakout of COVID19 has compelled all educational institutions to turn teaching learning into distance learning online in education. The students are assuming themselves as home schooled self learners, though this is totally different idea.

Many educational institutions around the globe are turned into distance educational institutes. Many software are used to make teaching learning process more efficient, effective and convenient. The students and parents at secondary level has assumed themselves as home-schoolers, while they are still following the set curriculum outline, content and may be assessment. On the other hand students from higher education institutions are taking themselves as distance learning students, with available content, formal teaching ( though from comfort of their couch) and formal assessment procedures.
There is need to understand that context of both is different, the students who are home bound due to COVID19 are mostly first time distance learning recipients. Their content, methodology, attitude, satisfaction and assessment might be entirely different from regular distance learners.
